The team is always ready to serve its members, never hesitate to send an email to any officer with questions you may have, club related or not! We are here and ready to help! If you are interested in becoming an officer, we hold elections at the end of each Spring semester, but you can get involved now by being on event committees.
  

President:
Tori Abner

Our President this year is Tori Abner. Tori is a senior Animal Science major from Howe, Texas. She has been involved in Saddle and Sirloin for three years. Tori works in the trace element research lab as a student assistant. She was also a member of the National Champion Wool Judging Team. She is currently interning for the Texas Pork Producers Association. Tori plans to pursue her Master's degree in swine production after graduation.

Tori will serve as the Ham Trimming Committee Chair this year.


Fun Fact: Blue-eyed, redheads make up 1% of the population.

Vice President:
Garrett Wehmeyer

Garrett is currently serving as our Vice President. He is a senior Animal Science major from Port Lavaca, Texas. He has been involved in Saddle and Sirloin for four years. Garrett works as a lab tech for the Equine Infectious Disease Labratory. Aside from Saddle and Sirloin he is also involved in Collegiate 4H. He hopes to attend Vet School at Texas A&M after graduation. 

Garrett will serve as the Little Southwestern Chair this year.

Fun Fact: He painted his own truck!

Secretary
Tamra Kott

Tamra is currently serving as our chapter Secretary. She is a senior Animal Science major from Junction, Texas. She has been involved in Saddle and Sirloin for three years. She was a member of the National Champion Wool Judging Team.

Tamra will serve as the Fundraising Chair this year.


Treasurer
Braden Bowers

Braden is currently serving as our chapters Treasurer. He is a senior Agribusiness major from Fredricksburg, Texas. He has been involved in Saddle and Sirloin for the past three years. Braden is a member of the Texas A&M Livestock Judging Team. He was also a member of the National Champion Wool Judging Team. Braden is currently interning with Connealy Angus. He plans to join the workforce after graduation.

Braden will serve as the Judging Teams Co-Chair this year.

Fun Fact: He is working to become a skilled wood worker.

Reporter
Kayla Cates

Kayla is currently serving as our chapter's Reporter. She is a senior Animal Science major from Fort Worth, Texas. She has been involved in Saddle and Sirloin for three years. She works for the Institute for Infectious Animal Diseases and is currently interning with Cargill this summer. She is a member of the University Honors Student Council. After graduation she hopes to pursue a career in either food safety or animal behavior management.

Kayla will serve as the Yearbook and BBQ Cookoff Chair this year.

Fun Fact: Her favorite thing to do in her free time is to visit different zoos and wildlife parks.

Ag Council Representative 
Mackenzie Harvey

Mackenzie is serving as one of our Ag Council Representatives this year. She is a junior Animal Science major from Beeville, Texas and has been involved in Saddle and Sirloin for the past two years. Her favorite species is a thoroughbred horse. After graduating college she hopes to pursue a career in either the horse racing industry or the thoroughbred industry. 

Mackenzie will serve as the Judging Teams Co-Chair this year.
 
Fun Fact: She loves eating strawberries with nutella.

Ag Council Representative 
Alexis Gooch

Alexis is one of our Ag Council Representatives this year as well. She is a senior Poultry Science major from Elysian Fields, Texas. She has been involved in Saddle and Sirloin for the past three years. Alexis is currently participating in undergraduate research for both the poultry and equine industry. After graduation she plans to attend vet school or pursue her Master's and PhD.

Alexis will serve as the Children's Barnyard Chair this year.

Fun Fact: She has a donkey named J-Lo.

Public Relations
Mati Abner

Mati is currently serving as the Public Relations officer for our chapter. She is a sophomore Ag Communications and Journalism major from Howe, Texas. She has been involved in Saddle and Sirloin for one year. She currently works for the College of Education as a communications assistant. She is also involved in ACT (Ag Communicators of Tommorrow) and Camp Kesem. After graduation she plans to pursue her Master's degree at Texas A&M University. 

Mati will serve as a Social Co-Chair and the End of the Year Banquet Chair this year.

Fun Fact: She is allergic to mangos.

Sweetheart
Jackie Doss

Jackie is our chapters Sweetheart for the 2018-2019 year. She is a sophomore Agribusiness major from Georgetown, Texas and has been involved in Saddle and Sirloin for one year. She is currently working as a horseback riding instructor at a summer camp and teaches lessons throughout the year. She is involved in the Dairy Club and is a member of the Horse Judging Team. After college she hopes to either work for the United States Department of Agriculture or HEB as a produce purchaser for the company.

Jackie will serve as a Social Co-Chair this year.

Fun Fact: She represents Central Texas for the Miss United States Agriculture program.
